JLL strengthens capital markets team with new hire

Former SCB Head of Research and ASEAN Property Regina Lim to take on role covering investment, corporate finance advisory and research

SINGAPORE16 October 2015 – JLL today announced that Regina Lim, former Head of Research & ASEAN Property at Standard Chartered, will be joining the firm on 1 November 2015 as National Director – Advisory and Research. This is in line with the firm’s continued goal to evolve the services that it is able to offer clients in Singapore.

Regina will report to Greg Hyland, Head of Capital Markets, Singapore, as well as Chris Key, Head of Corporate Finance, Asia Pacific, with matrix reporting to Dr Chua Yang Liang, Head of Research for Singapore and South East Asia.

In her new role, Regina will work with the Singapore Capital Markets team to procure sell-side mandates and support marketing campaigns, and will leverage on her expertise in equities research and financial analysis to assist the Corporate Finance team to expand into the South East Asia real estate sector, and provide capital structure, equity, JV and debt advisory services. In addition, she will assist in Research by driving thought leadership on the Singapore property market, take the lead in the bi-annual corporate client event, support the Singapore and South East Asia transaction teams with research-led presentations to occupier and investor clients, create and standardise slide decks for client presentations and training staff in South East Asia offices to maintain these decks.

Regina’s career in the property market spans over 15 years, starting with the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), UBS and most recently, Standard Chartered. As an urban planner at URA, she had the opportunity of managing government land sales projects and commercial property research. At UBS, she was part of an award-winning team ranked No. 1 by Asiamoney. At Standard Chartered, Regina led a team of 15 equity analysts covering 160 stocks in the ASEAN region, serving over 30 large institutional investor clients, and was also involved in IPOs such as OUE Commercial Trust, Frasers Hospitality Trust and Keppel DC REIT.

Regina has a Masters degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from Oxford University. She is married with three children – two sons aged 14 and 12, and a six-year old daughter.
