Who is a female inspiration/role model to you and why?
Julia Chapon launched in 2017 an app called ‘Yuka’ which is now broadly used by consumers (over 10 million users in France) to scan products in supermarkets and instantly see what ingredients they contain and how they impact one’s health.
This has completely changed the way people consume food and beauty products. Large fast-moving consumer goods firms have had to change their product range and now reference products that are Yuka compatible, thus much healthier than in the past. Yuka is much stronger than any lobby or influencer.
Yuka has now launched in the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Spain to continue its mission of creating a healthier world.
This goes to show how a talented person can change the world in just two years, in a well-established and wealthy industry. Impressive!
