Fair Interest for Sengkang Central GLS land parcel

SINGAPORE, 21 June 2018 – The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) closed the tender for the commercial and residential site at Sengkang Central today after it was launched for sale via the Concept and Price (C&P) revenue tender system in December last year.

The subject parcel has a site area of 37,254.9 sqm and a maximum GFA of 78,236 sqm for commercial and residential development and is located next to the Buangkok MRT station.

The 7 bids submitted by 6 bidders for the subject site shows fair interest unlike the 15 bids by 10 bidders for the Holland Road commercial & residential site which reflected much greater demand.

More than half of the unsuccessful bidders for the Holland Road parcel did not participate in today's tender. The unsuccessful parties from the previous tender who are competing for Sengkang Central are Capitaland, CDL, Perennial and Qing Jian. Far East Organization which won the Holland Road tender is bidding again for the Sengkang Central site and has submitted two concept bids.

Parties who did not participate in the Holland Road tender but are also vying for Sengkang Central include the Wing Tai & Keppel Land JV, SPH & Kajima JV and MCC Land JV. The SPH & Kajima JV is the developer of the Woodleigh Mall and Woodleigh Residences which are at Woodleigh MRT station.

Looking at the bidders, there is no shortage of capability and experience in successfully designing and developing the subject parcel.
