JLL expands its Valuations capability in Singapore and Southeast Asia

Real estate consultancy firm hires Lim Khee Boon to drive its Valuations activities in the region

October 15, 2018

JLL is pleased to announce the appointment of Lim Khee Boon as Senior Director, Institutional and Cross-border Valuations for Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, he reports to Chris Fossick, CEO, Southeast Asia, with a matrix regional report to C K Lau, Co-lead Director of Asia Pacific Valuation, based in Hong Kong.  He will work closely with Tan Keng Chiam who continues to lead JLL’s local valuation team in Singapore.

Chris Fossick, Managing Director at JLL, Singapore and Southeast Asia, comments: “The growth of our Valuations business in Asia Pacific is a key strategic priority for the firm and our regional Valuation board has been working closely with in-country and regional leaders to help identify and unlock favourable business growth opportunities. Growing our Singapore and Southeast Asia Valuations platform is a key part of this strategy.”

Khee Boon brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry and has built a strong pan-regional institutional Valuations business servicing the Singaporean and cross-border valuation requirements for major institutional clients such as Mapletree, CapitaLand and many others.  Prior to this, he spent more than ten years in senior Valuations role at CBRE and Savills.

Khee Boon will lead JLL’s institutional Valuations market-facing activities for Southeast Asia and will also work with the local teams across Asia, more broadly, to win more cross-border portfolio valuation work across the region.

“We are delighted to have someone of Khee Boon’s calibre, experience and client connections join us to work alongside our current valuation market leaders. He will be a great asset for us as we continue to grow our market share in Valuations across Asia”, Mr Fossick added.

Mr Lau commented: “Khee Boon’s extensive experience and insightful perspectives of the region’s real estate markets has been well valued and crucial to institutional clients, particularly those with pan-Asia mandates. Having worked with the majority of institutional market participants, Khee Boon recognizes their specific requirements and consistently provides transparent and rational valuation outputs which are especially helpful for sophisticated institutional clients with multi-country asset portfolios. Institutional clients today demand robust modelling and transparent valuation reporting; and Khee Boon is well-positioned to fulfill these requirements in close collaboration with our wide-ranging network of local teams and strong regional presence.”

JLL’s Valuation team of commercial, retail and industrial valuers provide consultancy and valuation and appraisal services for single assets, global portfolios and a range of property types across all sectors of the property market. It completed over 120,000 assignments across all asset classes with a combined value of over US$900 billion in Asia Pacific in 2017.
